TeenSHARP Community Cookout & Senior Celebration
The Future Was Wearing College Shirts
There’s something powerful about watching students stand together wearing shirts representing places they once only dreamed about.
On May 2, 2026, TeenSHARP gathered students, families, mentors, and community members at Fox Point State Park in Wilmington, Delaware for their Community Cookout and Senior Celebration.
The afternoon felt less like an event and more like a celebration of possibility.

As I photographed throughout the day, what stood out most was the pride.
Not just from the seniors, but from everyone around them.
Parents. Mentors. Friends. Staff.
You could feel years of sacrifice, encouragement, and belief behind every smile.
Around 12:30 PM, the seniors gathered together in their college shirts.
That moment hit differently.
Some wore Bowdoin. Some wore Elon. Others represented schools from all across the country.
But underneath every logo was the same thing:
Hope.
What I loved most was how genuine everything felt.
People laughed. People hugged. People celebrated one another.
There was no need to force anything.
The story was already there.

TeenSHARP continues to create spaces where students are reminded that they belong in rooms they may once have thought were unreachable.
